Itâs more efficient if theyâd post the names and addresses. Cut out the middleman and get those letters of sincere appreciation where theyâre needed.
Iâm giving my sympathy to the families of dead children of Gaza. None left for those who did the killin.
The murderers of children can get sympathy when they stand up for the children in Gaza that still live.
Not participating in genocide also helps.
So they are implying that if I dont donate they kill themselves, got it. AnywayâŚ
Can I donate cyanide pills? Also, where can I get cyanide pills? Asking for the IDF.
can I donate a negative value?
Iâm a veteran suffering from PTSD. Itâs horrible, I wouldnât wish anyone to have it.
The IDF however, are genocidal fascists and the world would be a better place if they did end their own life. So write them a card saying âyouâre a horrible person and no one will ever love you, just do it alreadyâ
PTSD from commiting crimes against humanity isnât a valid PTSD, that should be at best be considered guilty and they should reckon with that for the rest of their lives.
âI gunned down civilians, including banies and children, I canât sleep without hearing their screamsâ, that is the closest thing to justice theyâll ever get. maybe they should have access to therapy once they are locked for the rest of their lives.
PTSD is horrible, and the people with PTSD who didnât engage in a genocide should get better treatment for it
Why do we focus so much on the people doing the worst shit? Thereâs so many innocent people with PTSD that are treated like dirt by their countryâs respective systems
I tried but the woke post office said that sending them a lump of wet shit wasnât allowed and Iâm not welcome there anymore and if I try again theyâll call the police.
Thats ok. Give the wet shit to the police. Theyâve earned it!
One of the worst things about stuff like this is that itâs essentially accurate. Thereâs a long and well-documented history of veterans suffering crippling trauma from slaughtering people.
Obviously, the people being tortured and killed are, by far, the most victimized in this scenario. Still, the people being raised on propaganda and compelled by law to murder peaceful people are also being used and harmed.
I understand that this propaganda piece isnât mostly about that. Itâs about using suffering to exploit peopleâs sense of empathy into promoting an otherwise unconscionable geopolitical agenda.
This isnât exclusive to Israel either. Itâs a long-standing tradition of organized violence thatâs at least thousands of years old. I donât know what else to say about this phenomenon except that most of us probably agree that it needs to stop, and that whatever group is doing the most killing is most in the wrong. I regret that I donât have a good solution. Historically, anything less than violent rebellion doesnât work. Sometimes even that fails.
Fair and realistic. At which point can a person be blamed and disregarded for making the conscious decision of killing innocents though?
Morally, no people? Realistically, I suppose it depends on how much propaganda and indoctrination they were exposed to allowing some shift of blame to the state. However, after killing one innocent person deliberately because âordersâ, no amount of environmental cause is enough to remove all of the blame. They consciously chose to obey that order instead of disobeying.
Have you heard of the Milgram experiment? It takes an incredible amount of strength, that most people donât have, to disobey orders from authority, even if you think the orders are immoral.
Thatâs not the point. Somebody can be perpetrator and victim at the same time. And justice would mean they get the proper treatment for both. Not a calculation and only the difference left after the subtraction.
There is no such thing as an IDF member with enough humanity to warrant (caring about their) suffering or trauma; they are pieces of shit genocidal monsters. Even if you think they are compelled by law, the evidence will show that those âinâ are for some reason unwilling to break that âlaw.â Which means they are complicit in the genocide.
Ignoring the fact that israel is not a real nation state anyway.
The mightiest tool of genociders is dehumanisation. Itâs the fertilizer on which hate can thrive. As long as you think someone is a monster, itâs easier to justify atrocities against them.
are you saying you are worried about atrocities against idf soldiers?
I have PTSD from an abusive ex which encouraged my suicide. itâs rough, had flashbacks a couple months ago and it was a nightmare.
they donât get to call what they have âPTSDâ, they are the criminals who destroyed so many lives and are likely still proud of that.
Hey Iâm really sorry that happened to you. Iâm glad youâre here, and your story helped me. Love you Albert. Please stick around. Itâs about to get good đ Iâll be thinking of you for a long time. â¤ď¸
I think its very telling that it is a prominent issue in their military, not just because of what they are responsible for - if the problem is so bad that they need random people to send them postcards, how are they treating them? Are they even doing the bare minimum?
Give it enough time, maybe their PTSD will take care of their problems for them.
That is just too on the nose, didnât they know that Frankie Boyle quote?
Controversial, but I think that this image belongs in Lemmy shitpost for being trashy for global society.
I deleted it after I posted it there and moved it here because it didnât get any traction so I was afraid that it was going to make everyone mad. I posted something political there once and got hit with a bunch of downvotes
Thatâs a valid argument. It is hard to master the preferences of such comunity.
âDear scum,
Hope you donât treat me like a Palestinian kid.
Love love xoxoâ
