She describes indiscriminate destruction across densely populated neighborhoods, challenging claims that the attacks targeted militants and warning that “nowhere is safe” in Lebanon. Khalek also warns this escalation could expand regionally, arguing that what’s being done to Lebanon today could soon be repeated against Iran — with U.S. backing.

Rania Khalek is a great leftist voice of reason, I have listened to her countless times on a variety of topics she does great work. It is just heartbreaking though to see someone talk about places they know as landscapes of life being obliterated for no good reason. These weren’t military bases… and yes I know this is part of a pattern but the world should be shocked right now all the same.
